Hi, my name is Mrs. McDermott and I am so excited to be your 4th grade teacher! I grew up in Greenville, always knowing I wanted to be a teacher. On July 29, I married my high school sweetheart, Sean! We are so excited to start our married lives together. I have two brothers - one older and one younger. My older brother, Jim, is 28 and works in Charleston, S.C. and my younger brother, Russell, is 21 and a senior at Chapel Hill. From the age of 5-18 I did ballet, as well as jazz and modern dance. I have also always enjoyed playing tennis with my family and spending time outside. In my free time I also love reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, playing pickle ball, and going on walks with my friends. On Saturdays you can find me at Clemson tailgates with my family and friends cheering on my favorite team. Go Tigers!

I graduated in 2019 from Clemson University with a bachelors of arts in Elementary Education. The following year I completed my Master's in Teaching and Learning which included a year of co-teaching 3rd grade. This will be my fourth year teaching 4th grade. I look forward to a wonderful year full of learning and making memories!
