Great "Beehavior" Guidelines

Our school and individual classrooms use I CARE language to help guide children in appropriate behavior. Paris Elementary School rules are based on Lifelong Guidelines and LIFESKILLS. Paris PAWS for Success in the Classroom include Positive Attitude, Act Responsibly, Work Hard, and Show Respect.

Our 1st grade class rules align with our school rules.

1. We are kind.

2. We are safe.

3. We keep our hands and feet to ourselves.

4. We listen.

5. We have PAWS behavior--Positive Attitude, Act Responsibly, Work Hard, and Show Respect.

Consequences:

If a student chooses not to follow the rules, there will be a series of consequences. We use a Great Bee-havior Chart to track behavior in our classroom. All students begin each day with their bee on the green beehive. Students are reminded of the rules each morning. Students who break a rule are asked to move their bee to the yellow beehive. Repeated offenses will result in moving the bee to the red beehive. Students with improved behavior may be asked to move their bee back to yellow. Students on red in the afternoon will write and draw a behavior sheet that will be signed by their parents.

Great Behavior Celebrations:
