About Me

I live in Simpsonville with my husband, Chris, and our two boys, Coby and Cross. Coby is in the 10th grade here at Hillcrest High School and Cross is in 7th grade here at HMS. We have two golden retrievers, Champ & Riggs, a Yorkie named Lucy, and a cat, Bella. I was born in Tokyo, Japan and came to the United States when I was 2 years old. As a child, I grew up in Simpsonville. I attended Plain Elementary, Bryson Middle and Hillcrest High. I graduated from Clemson University, Cum Laude, in 1995 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. After graduating from Clemson I moved to Raleigh, NC and taught there for 3 years. In 1998, I returned and began teaching at Ellen Woodside Elementary until 2002. In August 2002, after finishing my Masters Degree in Elementary School Leadership from Furman Univerisity, I had the wonderful opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal at Hillcrest Middle, and I love it here! Since I grew up in Simpsonville, I have a special love and connection for this community. I LOVE children, animals, and the elderly.

My husband, Chris, is a Persian Gulf veteran and was in the Marine Reserves. He is a graduate of USC Upstate, therefore we are a house divided, but he does pull for the Tigers since growing up a Clemson Tiger fan. He has his own business appraising real estate and is also a real estate broker.

I love my family and love spending time with them. Our boys are our life and we are very busy with soccer and wrestling. We love traveling and spending time together.

"Caring, Committed, Connected!"
