If your school offers both AP classes and Project Lead The Way (PLTW) courses, you have a chance to earn the AP + PLTW Student Achievement by completing courses in one of three AP + PLTW “pathways”—engineering, biomedical science, or computer science. This recognition shows colleges and employers that you’re prepared for advanced coursework and interested in careers in the fields you’re studying.
The AP + PLTW Student Achievement is awarded once a year in the fall.
Instructions
Take the right combination of AP and PLTW courses.
Complete one AP course, one PLTW course, and a third course, either AP or PLTW, included in the engineering, biomedical science, or computer science pathways.
If you’ve already taken AP and/or PLTW courses, you may be well on your way to earning the recognition.
Earn qualifying scores on the assessments.
Earn a score or 3 or higher on the AP Exam(s) and a score of Proficient or higher on the PLTW End-of-Course Assessment(s).
Apply for the recognition online.
You’ll need a College Board account.
