Make-Up Policy: Any missed work must be made up within 5 school days. If a test has been announced prior to the student’s absence, the student should be prepared to take the test on the first day the student returns. All missed tests are to be made up before school, or after school. It is the responsibility of the student, not the teacher, to make necessary arrangements for make-up work. It is the students’ responsibility to make up work. All assignments are posted on google classroom every day. The notes are there, the assignment is there. If you are out, you need to look on google classroom to make up what you missed.

Greer High School Late Work Policy:

At a minimum, Students may receive up to 75% on minor assignments turned in 1 day late.

At a minimum, students may receive up to 50% on minor assignments turned in 2 days late.

This policy does not apply to students who are absent for instruction. When considering absences, teachers will assign a reasonable amount of time for students to make up assignments that does not exceed 5 days.

Parents: Please sign up for your student's remind class. This way you have access to their reminders and classroom activities and notes. If you completed the email address on the syllabus signature sheet, you should have received a link to join google classroom in the parent view. It is of utmost importance that I have an active email address for you. My goal is to keep you and your student informed of your student's grades. You are welcome to look at Google Classroom for your student's class using their login credentials. You may also request to join with the parent view, but you have very limited access. Please email me that you will be joining so I make sure I approve your request. I do not approve the requests of those I do not recognize. All notes and assignments are posted by date. Students absent can access the page to catch up on any work or assignment. Assignments on the progress reports are labeled in the same manner on Google Classroom for ease of searching. The date of the assignment on the progress report is the date it is listed on google classroom. Please be aware that the grades in POWERSCHOOL are the grades you should look at. Also if you have printing issues, students may print in the media center before or after school for classroom use at no cost.
