About Me

I am so excited to have the opportunity to come alongside students at Hughes Academy this year and aid them as they achieve their own unique successes. I graduated from Anderson University with a bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education and a minor in Spanish. This will be my first year of teaching full-time; however, I worked at a private tutoring center during college and thoroughly enjoyed the student teaching experiences provided by my degree program . As an ELA teacher for the partial immersion program, my classes will integrate Hispanic American literature and culture into the standard ELA curriculum . I am also excited to be teaching one non-immersion class, during which students' time will be split between myself and Mr. Lynch.

My husband and I live in Clemson, where we enjoy taking day hikes, going running, and spending time with friends. We also love to visit our family in Columbia on some weekends.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. I will always respond within 24 hours. I hope to help make this the best year possible for you and your student!
