About Me

This is my ninth year teaching at Blue Ridge Middle School, and I am so excited to be here! I was born in Virginia but spent the first 6 years of my life moving around. I lived in Europe for almost 5 of those years. I moved back to Virginia when I was 6 and lived there until I finished high school. After that, I attended The University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and studied Child and Family Development.  After graduation, I taught younger students for several years.  I fell in love with teaching and decided to pursue a degree in Education.  I also have a Master's Degree in Literacy from  Furman. This past Spring, I earned my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction.

In January, I had a baby girl named Kennedy. I also have a sweet Jack Russell mix dog at home named Dobby and a cat named Scout!
