My name is Liza Manuel and I am so fortunate to serve the amazing Hughes Academy community. This is my 20th year in education. I received my MA in School Leadership from Furman University and my Bachelor of Music from the University of Southern Maine. Prior to coming to Hughes, I was the Choral Director at Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School for six years. I've also worked at Greer Middle and High Schools as the IB Program Director and Woodmont Middle as the Choral Director. When I'm not at school I love to travel, spend time with my friends and play with my dog, Mr. Smitty.
