All About Me  

Hi! 

    My name is Miss Michelle Hannon! I am so happy to have your student in my classroom!! They have already made such an impression on me!! I love being around children and have wanted to be around children since age 9. Even though at that point I was a child myself :) I am a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor's in Biological Science. GO TIGERS!!! :)  The path that brought me to education didn't necessarily make sense and it took a little longer than expected, but I am so glad the path lead me to this career!! I received my MAT in Elementary Education from Converse College. I also took courses to obtain my Gifted and Talented Endorsement. Needless to say I am a driven professional, highly qualified, and want to make sure that I give your student the best education possible!!I then went back to school to get my Masters (EdS) degree in administration at Furman to further my learning of schools and students, and how to handle both! I am a big believer in lifetime learning.  

   I have lived in the Greenville area for my whole life and it has a place in my heart. I was at Lakeview Middle School for 7 years! Getting a job at Northwood has placed me into a whole new part of it that I am still trying to learn! This journey has been both exciting and scary! This is my second year at Northwood! I'm super pumped to make these 6th graders  think and encourage them to be life-long learners!! I want them to see the importance to education in any way I can!!
