Homework

Parents and students,

The single most important homework your child has is to read a minimum of twenty minutes per night. Other homework will be listed on the newsletter. Written homework is rare aside from spelling practice, and that is a choice that students make. Students should be reviewing notes and information in their binder, studying for quizzes and tests as assigned, completing extra practice online to build math fluency, and READING their twenty minutes each night. You will award your student a star or point for each activity they complete from the newsletter and students will turn in the SIGNED sheet on Friday. The class will earn additional recess or other incentives based on their performance and effort. The idea is to build strong study skills and fluency in reading and math through meaningful activities, while preserving as much family time as possible. If you feel as though your child needs additional work, please feel free to contact me and I can provide some options to meet their needs.
