Mrs. Johnson, MSW, LISW-CP

Social Worker

Sullivan Center High School Alternative Program (HSAP)

Hello!  My name is Laura Johnson and I am the Social Worker for Sullivan Center HSAP.  This is my third school year at Sullivan Center HSAP and I continue to be grateful that I am a part of this team!  Prior to joining the staff at Sullivan, I worked as a Mental Health Specialist for a local middle school.  I have also worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Mental Health.  I have served children, adolescents, and families my entire career.

I grew up in a small town in North Carolina.  I attended Meredith College and double majored in Psychology and Sociology, and minored in Criminal Justice.  After graduation, I moved to Columbia to continue my education at the University of South Carolina.  There, I earned a Master of Social Work degree.

While attending USC, I met my now husband, Travis, who was enrolled in the same master's program as me.  We have been married for 15 years and have one daughter and two kitties, Eddie and Ellie.  My family and I enjoy camping, baking, running, and cheering on our beloved South Carolina Gamecocks!

I look forward to working with you this year!  Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or needs.
