I am Letrease Michelle (Chiles) Thompson. I am a veteran English teacher of thirty-two years. Yes, I know.:) I am a Woodmont High School graduate, and I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from South Carolina State University (College when I attended) in Orangeburg, SC and my Master of Education Degree in English Education from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. I taught English at Riverside High School in Greer, SC, for twenty-one years and at Greenville Technical Charter High School (Barton Campus) for nine years.

I am a member of the South Carolina Education Association and a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

I am the proud mother of two Woodmont Wildcat graduates. Brea graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business and Entrepreneurship, and Brandi graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, SC, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education.

I am a firm believer of the following philosophy of teaching: "THE RACE IS NOT WON BY THE SWIFTEST BUT THE ONE WHO ENDURES TO THE END."
