About Us

I've been with Greenville County School District for 8 years.  This is my 4th year as a counselor here at Lake Forest Elementary.

I earned a Psychology degree from the College of Charleston, a Clinical Counseling degree from Columbia International University, and an Education Specialist Degree from Clemson University.

Prior to becoming a school counselor, I worked as a mental health counselor for 6 years.  I also served 8 years in the Army Reserves and Army National Guard and spent 10 months in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002-2003.  I served in various roles such as a radio operator, teaching English to Afghan teenagers and adults, and issuing supplies to soldiers. Because I was in an Airborne Army unit, I also learned how to 'properly' jump out of airplanes!

I have 3 sons and one daughter that keep me busy when I'm not at work! During my free time, I enjoy watching movies, scrap-booking, reading books, and getting coffee with friends.

I am one of the full-time counselors at Lake Forest Elementary and have been with LFE for 2 years.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at College of Charleston and my Master’s degree in School Counseling through Liberty University. I am currently working on my Education Specialist Degree in Traumatology through Liberty University.

I grew up in Simpsonville and attended school in the Greenville County School District most of my life. I am extremely thankful to be able to now work in the same district.

I am an animal lover and  would adopt every animal out there if I could. I have two cats and a puppy who are as spoiled as they come. I cannot go a day without coffee, love spending time with my friends and family, and enjoy being at the pool or beach any chance I get.

I am looking forward to this year and working with the students, families, and fellow staff members at LFE!
