Behavior System

Students are served within their General Education Class and the Special Education Class. To best support them, Mrs. Brooker follows the behavior system being used in each classroom while in the General Education Classroom.

When in the Special Education Classroom, the students will utilize Class Dojo as a reward system. The students will earn and lose points based on their actions. Intermittent rewards and Quarterly rewards will be given based off of the student's percentage of positive points.

If a student has a Behavior Support Plan (BSP) or Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), these systems override any classroom systems. In these situations, Mrs. Brooker (or someone working under the direction of Mrs. Brooker) will monitor student progress and will provide Positive Reinforcement as determined by their plan.

Coping skills, perseverance, and behavior resulting from a child's disability are all taken into account.
