About Me:  Mrs. Townsend

I am excited about starting a new school year and getting to know you.  Here are a few tidbits about me...  I'm a graduate of Clemson University where I earned my MAT in education. I started my teaching career at Greenville Middle where I have been teaching ELA for the past sixteen years. I am so excited to be teaching Creative Writing this year.  I also attended GMA as a middle schooler. I LOVE teaching ELA and believe that we must encourage our students to question and explore the world and beyond utilizing reading and writing.  

I have three children. Taylor, Joseph. and Foster. Life keeps me busy. I have two dogs and a cat.  There is never a dull moment at my house.  In addition to teaching, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, and cheering for the Clemson Tigers. I am looking forward to a great year.
