Welcome to my science class!
2017-2018
This year we'll study many different areas in science. The units of study will be safety, energy, simple machines, weather, classification, plants and animals. During the second nine weeks we'll study weather. There will be several labs, weather research, plotting of hurricanes, forecasting weather and learning to read symbols on a weather map to predict upcoming weather.
Grading Scale-
90-100= A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
60-69 = D
50-59 = F
Things to Remember
Please check the SWOOSH and Interactive Notebook Running List to see the work that should be in your child's notebooks. We have notebook checks at least twice each nine weeks. Homework is posted on the Homework and Assignments tab. The homework assignment may change based on the understanding of the content that day. Make sure to also check your child's planner for the updated homework assignments.
** Parents, please make sure you've signed the Lab Safety Contract and Student Information sheet. Please return them so they can be filed. Thank you
