About Mr. Knobel

I am both excited and overjoyed to have the opportunity to teach the incredible youth and tomorrow's leaders at Woodmont Middle School! I have a degree in History from The University of The South at Sewanee, TN and a love for both history and geography.

I have been fortunate to have experienced just about everything you can imagine; from living/working overseas(in Maastricht, Holland), training and building teams from many countries around the world, having a record label, helping startup multiple companies around the country, and coordinating global events/roadshows for IBM, Microsoft, and several other large tech companies (and some stand-alone events like The Olympics).   

Most importantly, I am the proud father of 2 Greenville School District graduates. My son Grant recently graduated from USC's Darla Moore Business School with a degree in Supply-Chain Management and works in Charleston, SC. My daughter Anna studies Psychology at Clemson's Honors College and you may have even seen her act in Greenville's various theatres as Fern in "Charlotte's Web", Junie B. Jones, Marta in "The Sound of Music", Snoopy, and many other roles. 

My wife Stephanie has run the Judson Community YMCA in Greenville since it opened and generally is the greatest person I know. She is also my greatest influence.

Along with my family, I also love travel, history and geography (again), music/concerts, movies(and movie popcorn), reading and my favorite sports teams(my Los Angeles Chargers, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Braves, and now my Woodmont Middle Wildcats).

I also love to learn, and hope to learn as much from Woodmont Middle's students as they learn from me.
