About Me:

I am so excited to be teaching at Blue Ridge High School this year! This is my fourth year at BRHS, but I've lived in the upstate for almost my entire life. My mother and sister are both teachers in Greenville County as well--it runs in the family!

I graduated from Pickens High School in 2015, and from there went on to study at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. I started out studying Communications and Journalism, but realized my love of fiction and my drive to teach when I began tutoring. After that, I changed majors to English Education, and I haven't looked back! I graduated May 4th, 2019 with a BA in Secondary English Education and a GT endorsement.

When my nose isn't in a book, I spend my time with family--both human and animal--or travelling! During college I studied for a semester in England. I also enjoy being outside on my family's farm, hiking, swimming, or doing anything "nerdy." I also love baking, and will take any opportunity to share treats!

The Globe Theatre, London, UK

I can't wait to work with you this year! I feel honored and blessed to be part of the BRHS Tiger family. Please contact me if you have any questions about my classroom, my philosophy of learning, or anything else!
