Grading Policy:

A. Course Evaluation

Major Grades (Tests, Projects) 60% of grade

Minor Grades (Quizzes, Minor Projects 40% of grade B. Grading Scale:

90 – 100 A 60-69 D

80 – 89 B 50– Below F

70 – 79 C

C. Daily Grades

Student work will be printed and turned in to be graded on the average of three times per week. This will include assignments from the textbook, article assignments, and teacher originated assignments.

D. Quizzes

Quizzes will be given throughout the term. Vocabulary, class notes, and study guides are posted into student’s directory prior to quiz date. Each term will be discussed and/or illustrated in class and practiced by the student when applicable.

E. Unit Tests

A test will be given at the completion of a unit of study. Unit test formats may include will include a variety of questions such as true/false, multiple choice, short answer, and others. Projects may also count as test grades.

F. Midterm Exam and Final Exam

As Scheduled

G. Late Work Policy (Honors Classes only, for AP policy please see syllabus.)

Minor - 10 points off per day for 5 days and then zero

Major - 10 points off per day for 5 days and then until end of quarter to turn in for max of 50

It is the students’ responsibility to obtain the work missed during the absence.
