About Me

Education

I am a graduate from both North Greenville University and Greenville Technical College. Currently, I am still acting as a student while I finish my Masters degree from North Greenville University. In addition, I am a proud Pickens High School alumni and Blue Flame.

Hobbies

I am an avid supporter of the wildlife, the outdoors, and native American culture. I am a certified beekeeper through Clemson University. My wife and I enjoy the keeping of our 20ish fish, two reptiles, and our dog, Kloey. Kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, eastern Cherokee dance, and northern plains grass dance are all hobbies I can be found doing throughout the year. In conjunction with these hobbies, I act as the assistant scoutmaster for my local Pickens County boy scout troop.

Flounder

Flounder is a Florida Kingsnake, Lampropeltis getula floridana, with an inquisitive personality. Currently, he measures in at a little over 4ft. and can always be found exploring his home.

Tater

Tater is a Western Hognose, Heterodon nasicus, with a dramatic personality. He enjoys hiding in his castle and will play dead or huff when bothered.

Before Education

Before working for Greenville County Schools, I worked as an Aquatics Director for the Boy Scout of America in upstate South Carolina. This allowed me to act as both a lifeguard trainer, canoeing instructor, and whitewater river guide. In addition, I worked as an ecology instructor in which I taught sessions on herpetology, forestry, and natural resource management to youth and adults.
