About Mrs. Funderburg
My name is Johanna Funderburg and I am so excited to be teaching your child this year! This is my sixth year as a teacher, but my second year in Fifth Grade. I previously taught Sixth Grade Science at a Middle School in Columbia before moving here to Greenville and I taught Second Grade here at WES in 2015/2016.

I grew up in Columbia, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina in May 2012 with a BA in Elementary Education. GO GAMECOCKS! I then received my Masters degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College in May of 2014. I also completed my SC teaching certification and am highly qualified to teach 2nd through 6th grade. We are always students, aren't we?!

I have a wonderful husband, Josh, who also graduated from USC and works in Greenville as well. We got married last summer in Columbia and are enjoying our new life together here in Greenville. I enjoy traveling, going for walks, cooking and spending time with friends and family!
