• Masters' of Arts in Teaching Middle Grades Social Studies and English Language Arts from Clemson University

• Masters' of Arts in History from Bob Jones University

• Education Specialist in School Leadership from Furman University

Hobbies and Interests

         Reading and history have been my passions for as long as I can remember. My personal library contains 700+ books from topics ranging from Early American History to fantasy and everything in between. It even includes a whole section of books in Spanish!

        Through reading, I have explored countless different eras of history, each one becoming my new favorite. History has taught me so much, from the importance of civic education to the crucial role that telling the story has in avenging wrongs of the past, acknowledging wrongs done and learning from our mistakes to prevent them in the future. 

         I don't just sit around reading and diving into history though. I also love to run and have completed 80 half marathons, 15 marathons and over 120 other shorter distance races. Both reading and running help me travel the world and build experience that I hope to share with your student.
