Classroom Rules
1. Be respectful! Be kind! Work hard!
2. Arrive to class on time prepared to learn.
3. Follow classroom "Social Contract"
4. Stay in your sear or group unless instructed otherwise.
5. Follow all lab safety procedures. You are responsible for your own actions, choices, and safety.
Group Work Expectations
Use respectful language, no "put downs" or discouraging words
Be a contributing member of your group.
Stay within your own group! (Do not talk to members of other groups unless instructed.)
Include everyone in your group and work cooperatively
Rewards for Good Choices
1. A great learning environment

Procedures
Beginning of Period
Come to class and go to your seat.
Check the board for daily assignments.
Start with an engage activity.
Follow the daily agenda to work on your assignments.
Daily Procedures
Raise your hand if you have a question or would like to participate in the discussion.
Wait until you have permission to talk.
Use the restroom during the class only in an emergency (fill out the Smart Pass on the Chromebook)
Roll is taken at the beginning of each period.
Walk to lunch silently in a single file line.
Fire drill and tornado drill instructions are posted by the door. Primary and secondary escape plans are provided. All classes will be instructed where to report.
Follow the school rules and dress code as outlined in student handbook.
Keep your desk and area clean.
When you are dismissed, push your chair in.
Teacher will dismiss the class not the bell.

Paper Movement
Please, always put on paper your first and last name, period, and date.
Pass the papers to the person on your right or left.
Designated paper collectors bring papers to the teacher.
When requested, put your paper into the basket labeled for your period.
Check the nameless papers to receive appropriate credit.
Student Movement
Stay in your seat unless otherwise directed.
Ask for permission to leave your seat.
Walk quietly when changing work partners or groups.
The teacher will dismiss students at the end of the period.
Stay in your group during group activities.
Returning student after an absence
Check Google Classroom for assignments while absent.
Pick up any make up work from a folder on the wall.

Assignments
Blank assignments turned in in Google Classroom will be graded as NHI.
Chromebook Regulations
Always use school issued Chromebook
Come to class with fully charged Chromebook
Use Chromebook for learning as instructed by the teacher
Close ALL tabs at the end of each class.
Close all tabs and TURN OFF your Chromebook every evening.
When moving, CLOSE your Chromebook
Science Lab Safety
ALWAYS follow ALL safety procedures in science labs.
NO eating or drinking in the science lab.
Do NOT activate the safety eye-wash or shower unless directed by a teacher.
NO horse-playing in the science lab.
