Internet use: 

Your child may be asked to use the internet for a variety of things throughout the year. As with any website not monitored by Greenville County Schools, some material may not be suitable for your child. Please monitor your child as he or she accesses the internet if it is available at your home. Greenville County Schools monitors the internet at each school to ensure the safety of all students. Sites that can be accessed from our school are appropriate, but the internet itself isn't. We will monitor internet use here at school to ensure suitable material is being viewed. Everything your child views on his or her computer is traceable. It can be pulled up in class at any time. Please help monitor what your child may be viewing on their Chromebook.

Student Pledge for Chromebook Use:

• I will take care of my Chromebook.

• I will never leave the Chromebook unattended.

• I will never loan out my Chromebook to other individuals.

• I will never log on as someone other than myself.

• I will know where my Chromebook is at all times.

• I will charge my Chromebook's battery daily.

• I will keep food and beverages away from my Chromebook since they may cause damage to the device.

• I will not disassemble any part of my Chromebook or attempt any repairs.

• I will protect my Chromebook by only carrying it while in the case provided.

• I will use my Chromebook in ways that are appropriate, meet Greenville County Schools and Paris Elementary School expectations, and are educational.

• I will not place decorations (such as stickers, markers, etc.) on the Chromebook or case.

• I will not deface the serial number Chromebook sticker on any Chromebook.

• I understand that my Chromebook is subject to inspection at any time without notice and remains the property of the Greenville County Schools.

• I will follow the policies outlined in the Acceptable Use Policy and Responsible Use Procedures while at school, as well as outside the school day.

• I will be responsible for all damage or loss caused by neglect or abuse.

• I agree to return the Chromebook, case and power cords in good working condition.

• I will be a proactive digital citizen when using my Chromebook.

• I understand that my use of the Chromebook is subject to all applicable District policies and regulations, including but not limited to the Greenville County Schools Acceptable Use Policy, as well any applicable provisions of the Student Handbook and any individual building policies and procedures.
