Immediate Counseling Needs

If your child or a child that you know is struggling with their mental health during this time, the United Way's 2-1-1 hotline is ready to assist you. Just dial 2-1-1 from your telephone.

If a student makes suicidal statements or demonstrates signs of a mental health crisis, you can call 1-833-364-2274 (or 1-833-DMH-CCRI) to reach the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Community Crisis Response and Intervention (CCRI) line.

If your child needs counseling assistance but it is not an emergency, they can schedule a meeting with myself or our school social worker when they are at school. You can do this for them by calling me at 355-4819 or e-mail, ajlaird@greenville.k12.sc.us. You can also contact their teacher and they can let me know.Â
