Literacy Lab/Read 180

We offer 3 support service models: the Education Support (resource) program, the Itinerant program, and the Intensive Literacy Lab. Some students take Ed. Support and/or Literacy Lab both semesters; others, only one semester. The Itinerant program requires the student to physically enter the resource classroom every week for a minimum of ten minutes. During this time they work on objectives included in their Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and hopefully inform the support teachers of anything they need assistance with. Both the resource and itinerant students are monitored by the special education teacher to encourage success in their academic classes.

Read 180/Literacy Lab

Students do whole group, small group and individual work daily including a warm up. The curriculum involves advancement through successfully completing topics and levels in the Read 180 software and completing daily instructional lessons. Tests weekly are given by reading a book and completing an Independent Reading Log for reading time.
