About Me
I am a dedicated and passionate educator who strives to provide my students with the best learning experience possible. Throughout my rewarding career in education, I have been fortunate to gain valuable experience that has helped me grow both personally and professionally. For over two decades, I have taught at Hillcrest High School and have had the pleasure of leading my students in a plethora of inspirational community service projects. The photos you see on the pages of my website are but a small representation of our local, national, and international service-related, community-connected project activities. These experiences have been instrumental in enhancing my student's college and career readiness and communication skills, and have been lots of fun while creating lasting memories for all involved.
A former student and Hillcrest High School graduate wrote this "ACE Award encourages students to give all," article about the Advocates for Character Education (ACE) Award, which honors students who believe in the importance of community service and exhibit strong character, educational achievement, and academic determination,
I also incorporate technology in my teaching methods to enhance my student's learning experience. In a blog entry titled, "Theming Our Quizlet-Enhanced Journey to Success," I shared my experience of using Quizlet to enhance my students' learning. I am always searching for ways to facilitate my student's success through the purposeful and productive use of technology.
