Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year and 7th grade World Geography. I am looking forward to a great year with you in my 7th grade classes learning more about our world and its past. This class is much like an intro to Human Geography that you will take in 9th grade. You will become more accustomed with map skills, the general geographic features of maps, and how the people of various areas interact with each other and the lands around them. Using the five themes of Geography, you will study in an inquiry style of learning that will allow you to grow as a student and as a geographer/historian. This year we will also focus on honing in on our historical thinking skills of analyzing documents, using primary and secondary sources in the classroom, classifying information, using cause and effect, using inquiry to make decisions, making comparisons, using periodization, locating and citing evidence, and using context within geography & history. My students this year will truly become "great geographers & historians" as they travel around the world learning about each continent of our great world.

For this class, all of our information will be in the Google Classroom for your class period. Students, please make sure you are checking Google Classroom AND your email daily. Parents, please make sure you have an updated and active email and phone number in the Backpack in order for us to invite you as a guardian for Google Classroom. This will allow you to see all of your student's activities & assignments for class. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me and I will help however I possibly can.

LUNCH: 11:00-11:34 a.m.

4th Period: (Students=Related Arts) 11:37-12:24 p.m.

5th Period: (Students=Related Arts) 12:27-1:14 p.m.

6th Period: 1:17-2:14 p.m.

7th Period: 2:17-3:15 p.m.
