About Me:

I was born and raised in South Boston, VA. I received my Bachelor's degree in instrumental music education from Radford University and began my teaching career in my hometown. After 5 years in Virginia I pursued my Master's degree at the University of Tennessee. I taught 3 years in and around Knoxville, TN. After having our 1st child, we decided to relocate to Arkansas to be near family. I taught 5 years in Roland, OK before accepting the position here with Eastside H.S. My primary instrument is percussion, however you will often find me playing trombone or trumpet. Outside of school I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing Pokemon Go, and spending time with my beautiful family; my wife Tracie and our two kids August and Naomi.
