Mrs. Suchon

My name is Marilyn Suchon, I have been in South Carolina several years and I am very excited to start my seventh year teaching at Grove.

My husband loves the hot summers and we both love the mild winters.

I started as substitute teacher when my children started school full time in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I substitute taught for 3 years. I enjoyed it so much that I went back to school to earn a second Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. My first Bachelor’s Degree was in Marketing.

I taught at a Title 1 Charter School in Ann Arbor for 8 years and I am a highly qualified teacher.

My goal as a teacher is to provide individual, small group and whole class instruction to students. I value individuality, and strive to meet the needs of each student. To accomplish this, I use a variety of hands-on activities and different teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles. I also recognize the importance of trust, and establishing relationships with students that result in a safe and comfortable, yet challenging learning environment.
