About Mr. Koontz

This is my tenth year teaching at Stone Academy, and I love it! #StoneRocks

I have been a teacher for many, many years and in many different capacities. I have taught younger grades, middle school, high school and even teachers.

I have a wonderful family! I have three terrific children. I am grateful that they all live in Greenville. I are blessed with five extremely beautiful and highly intelligent grandchildren. (Totally biased!). Three of my "grands" are Stone students!!!!!

My other "family" is found at Grace and Peace Presbyterian in Greenville. I love my church and this is where I spend whatever energy I have after school! haha

I am teaching math, science, and social studies this year. My students are a sheer delight to me. I count it a privilege to walk with them and encourage them during this school year. Parents, I take seriously the gift of you allowing me into the lives of your children.

Fifth grade is a challenging year. We have TONS of standards to learn. However as we get through this together, middle school will be a breeze!
