Welcome to Mrs. Finnie’s Reading Nook!

A little bit about me! This is my 24th year at Hollis Academy and 27th year of teaching. Before coming to Hollis, I taught at St. Anthony’s School here in Greenville.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from North Greenville University and my Masters Degree from Clemson University.  I am married to Keith and we have a son named Courtney and a daughter named Audrey. 

I am wildly excited about being your child’s reading teacher this year.

• Keep me informed during the year.  Let me know of concerns you or your child has.  I’d love to know your child’s interests, strengths, weaknesses, illnesses, anything to help me know your child better.

• Extra educational activities: There are links on the Hollis website under Students, Student Links.  No internet?  No worries.  Visit the public library and check out books or use their internet.  Also, practice addition and subtraction flashcards with your child.
