My name is Phyllis Holmes and I was born in Florence, SC.  I attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC (Go Gamecocks) where I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology and a graduate degree in Elementary Education.  I received a second Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University.

            I taught in Columbia, South Carolina for 7 years before moving to Greenville, SC.  I have taught for the past 12 years in Greenville County. In my 19 years of teaching I have taught third, fourth and fifth grade.  

            I am married and we have a 7 and a half year old son and a 17 month old daughter.  I am looking forward to working with my new group of fifth graders this year.
