Class overview

Spanish is designed to prepare students to function at beginning levels of proficiency in a variety of authentic situations.  Consistent with the South Carolina State Frameworks for Modern Languages, emphasis is placed on communicating in the target language, building cultural awareness, making interdisciplinary connections, drawing comparisons between languages and cultures, and learning to use the target language with our school community and the broader regional and global communities.
