Classroom Expectations

All instruments and materials used by the students will be provided for them in music class. The students are taught how to and are responsible for taking care of the classroom materials. 

Parent communication can happen through email (lpedder@greenville.sc.us), phone (984-789-7179), or notes sent home with the student. The website will be kept updated throughout the year with new information.

The students will be assessed on the following: individual participation, individual behavior, and demonstration of skill (based on the state standards).

The students can receive an “M” or a “P.”

“M” = Met Standards

“P” = Progressing toward Standards

The students will explore the class rules and procedures during the first weeks of school.

M - Make Music, Not Noise

U - Use Listening and Learning Position

S - Show Kindness and Respect to Others

I - Involve Yourself in All Activities

C - Care for Our Instruments and Our Classroom
