English Studies

3rd, 4th, & 7th

Course Philosophy

In this class, we will work together to become a community of learners. Through reading and writing, you will analyze your life, the life of others, and the world of which we live in. We will inquire, read, write, and speak with goals in mind by studying classic and contemporary novels in addition to nonfictional works, plays, and poetry. You will examine your life and experiences and what it means to be human through the study and discussion of literature.

*Fourth period is collaboratively taught with one of League's 8th grade Special Education instructor, Kelly Knowles, and myself to ensure a diverse, developed, and supportive classroom environment. She can also be reached regarding this course at kknowles@greenville.k12.sc.us or directly by phone at (864) 355-8100.
