About

I teach eighth grade history--South Carolina/United States History.

I attended Slater-Marietta Elementary School (1972-1977), Northwest Middle School (1977-1980) and graduated from Travelers Rest High School in 1984.

I graduated from Clemson University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education/History. I received my Masters Degree from Furman University in June 2006.

This year is my twenty-fourth at Northwest and my thirty-third year of teaching. I am certified in Social Studies and Middle School Social Studies.

I am retired from the South Carolina Army National Guard. In 2001-2002, I was deployed on a peacekeeping mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 382 MPAD.

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, hiking, and fishing.
