About Me

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.  This is my twentieth year in education.  I began teaching at Slater-Marietta, where I taught 5th, 4th, and 3rd grades.  I graduated from North Greenville College, where I received my B.A. in Elementary Education.  I have also earned a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University.  I taught for 15 years before moving to Welcome Elementary, where I first served as the Title 1 Facilitator and then Intermediate Instructional Coach.  I am so excited to be "back home" where my teaching career started.  I'm excited to serve the students and teachers here at SMES!

My husband, Cliff, and I live in Marietta, where we both grew up.  We have two beautiful children, a 16 year old daughter who keeps us very busy with clogging competitions and a 12 year old son who loves playing baseball and football.  Never a dull moment!!!  We are truly lovin' all the joys of parenthood.  I love spending time with my family.  I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding four-wheelers, brushing up on my photography skills, and fishing.
