I love being a part of Blue Ridge Middle School and have been at BRMS since 2005. I am excited to be your Read 180 teacher this year.

I taught seventh grade English language arts and creative writing at BRMS. In addition to that, I was the Instructional Coach for several years. Prior to coming to BRMS, I taught at Gateway Elementary, Northwest Middle, and Berea Middle.

My undergrad degree in secondary English language arts is from Clemson University, and my elementary degree is from Furman University. I have a master's degree from Southern Wesleyan University in education and a master's degree from Clemson University in literacy.

My husband, Scott, and I have been married since 1988, and we have two daughters, two sons in law, and four grandchildren! We live on a little farm in Travelers Rest with two horses, two dogs, and three cats. I love my animals and call them my "furbabies!"

In my spare time you will find me either outside doing something with my animals , hanging out with my grandchildren, at church, at a Clemson football game, riding my bike, walking, or enjoying a day at the beach or mountains.
