Thank you for visiting my site! I am excited for another year at Southside and hopefully to make a healthy impact on your son or daughter. Please don't hesitate to call or email me with any thoughts or concerns. I post participation grades every Friday so you can track your child's progress there. I hope to help every student find an activity that they enjoy and will continue long after my class, but I only get them for one year. You are the biggest influence on your child's health! I encourage you to have them involved in some sort of physical activity or sport and to provide healthy meals and to drink as much water as possible. Working together we can help these kids live long, healthy, and happy lives! - Coach Crawford

PARTICIPATION GRADE RUBRIC:

20 Points per Day

• 5 for being in their squad on time
• 5 for dressing out
• 5 for performing the daily exercise to the best of their ability
• 5 for participating fully in whatever game, activity, or sport is being played

100 Points per Week

Sex Ed Information

Sexuality Education instruction will take place from October 5 - October 27 through PE 1 and ROTC 1 classes. All students in these classes will participate. Parents will have the option of previewing curriculum materials from September 28 - October 4 at Southside High School. Sexuality Education brochures were sent by the district to 9th grade parents at the end of July. We will also have extra copies on hand. If a parent wishes to exempt their child from Sexuality Education, then the parent must hand-deliver the signed exemption form to the front office. If a student is exempt, then he or she will receive alternate book assignments to complete during Sexuality Education.
