Creativity.Action.Service.

Welcome to the site of the Southside CAS program! This site is designed to answer frequently asked questions, provide access to forms required, and to update students and parents on upcoming opportunities for CAS hours.

As you may or may not know, the IB Diploma Programme suggests students engage in roughly 150 hours that fit into the categories of Creativity, Action, and Service. They are also required to maintain a reasonable balance of the three areas. A minimum of ~40 hours in each category will be required. We know that our IB students have a plethora of these hours, my goal as CAS Coordinator is to ensure they will get credit for the hours and not jeopardize their Diploma.

It is easy to get caught up on hours, but that is not the focus!  The main objective of CAS is for students to meet each of the Learning Outcomes.  Students will meet with me to come up with unique and interesting ways of meeting each of these.

In you have ANY questions, contact me at bcorbett@greenvilleschools.us without hesitation. I am your best resource for this information, so please contact me first. I prefer email so that we may maintain a written account of all information.

I look forward to working with you as the CAS Coordinator!
