Meet Mrs. Conwell
My name is Stacy Conwell and this is my 13th year of teaching, but my second year at Greer High School!
I married my high school sweetheart and we have two sons: a nine year old, Braylon and Gage, who is three years old. You'd think the age gap would mean they don't get along, but they are the best playmates and brothers!! My 22 year old niece, Alea, also lives with us. She's a great "big sister" to my boys.
Born and raised in Greer, SC, I graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 2003, attended North Greenville University and graduated with a Biology degree. After NGU, I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Ed Bio at Converse College.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, sleeping, watching my fav shows (The Office, Friends, Brooklyn Nine-Nine to name a few), and being a science nerd.
-Color: Purple. You'll notice that quickly based on my classroom!
-Pattern: Galaxy (blues and purples)
-Scent: coconut and lavender
-Drink: Water and coffee (no talkie before coffee... especially in the mornin')
-Starbucks order: Depends on my mood and the time of day, but I usually get an iced shaken expresso with almond or coconut milk. I mix up the flavors. Non-coffee is the paradise drink or the pink drink
-Candy: Snickers (regular, almond, and peanut butter squared), crunchy Reese's cup, airheads, and ice cubes gum (green or blue)
-Snacks: Chocolate chip Clif bars, pecans, almonds, anything flavored toasted coconut, and sour cream and onion chips
-Dessert: Cheesecake is the BEST. Chick-fil-a chocolate chip cookies... I could eat the whole pack of 6 in one sitting...
-Books: oh, so many, but I love mysteries, thrillers, and of course science books :) Harry Potter is my favorite book series.
-School supplies: Sharpies (markers and pens), notepads, super sticky notes, Pilot G2 pens, Pentel liquid gel pens, anything made by TUL, Paper Mate flair pens... I'm a sucker for office supplies. I love them all!
-Stores/Shopping: Amazon of course. They have everything from A to Z... Target, Kohl's, and Aldi
-Restaurants: Chick-fil-a, Tipsy Taco, Tropical Grille, Cheesecake Factory, Merrell's Pizza
-TV shows: Too many to list, but here are the top ones= The Office, Brooklyn 99, Friends, New Girl, Stranger Things, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Parks and Rec, Game of Thrones, LOST, Breaking Bad... ok that's enough. :)
-Music: You'd be surprised at my music library, but I mostly listen to 80's and 90's music. I have everything from classical to heavy metal, but NO country. Nope... don't like that.
-Other stuff: I love science jokes and puns. If I see any science-y shirt, I got to have it... especially if it has a joke on it too!!
