About Me

Hey my name is Coach Mathews! I have been here serving as the PE teacher for 4 years now, and I’m super excited to be a part of Simpsonville Elementary! A little about myself is that I was born and raised in Anderson, SC where I attended T.L. Hanna High School and graduated in 2014. After High School I attended Southern Wesleyan University and majored in Sport and Recreation Management and minored in Business Communications. While at SWU I played collegiate Baseball all four years and graduated in 2018. In 2016 I obtained my USCG Captains license and have been running fishing charters in Murrells Inlet, SC every Summer since! Something to know about me is that I’m a huge Clemson fan and also follow the Atlanta Braves, and the Atlanta Falcons closely. I’m looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year so hop in the boat because it’s about to be a fun year!!!

My name is Mr. Bopp and I am looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education. I am a big sports fan and have coached high school baseball. I am super lucky to be a part of the Simpsonville family. A big goal of mine for the school year is for the students to learn different ways to be active outside of PE class. We will cover multiple activities that students will be able to take home and introduce with their families for every day activities. I hope to learn as much from my students this year, as they learn from myself.
