Welcome! 

As we create a learning community together in our exploration of U.S History, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have.

I will try to respond to email by the end of the day during school. Afterschool or weekend I will respond by the end of the next school day.

Office Hours: Students, I would be happy to meet with you Wednesdays 8:00-8:30am, please schedule with me for a morning pass. Other times can be arranged. Parents, I am available for phone calls during my planning block 8:45-10:20am and right afterschool 3:45pm.

Make-up Tests/Assignments: Please be prepared to make up a test before or after school so that you do not miss class instruction and assignments.  

Projects/Assignments will be due the day you return if you are only absent on the due date.

U.S History Course Reminders:

• Everything will be on Google Classroom: you should be checking our US History online classroom everyday for daily slides/notes, assignments due, resources and messages from me.

• Materials needed: A Composition Notebook for Bell Ringers ONLY- Notebooks will be collected for a minor unit grade. This is SEPARATE from their Note-taking Book or Binder section for USH

• This is an EOC course: There is a South Carolina state administered End of Course (EOC) Exam worth 20% of the final grade. 

• US History is a required course to pass in order to graduate.

Classroom Expectations: 

• CELL PHONES are not allowed to be out in my classroom.  Cell Phones must be placed IN your backpack and remain there.  Phones are not to be seen on the desk, lap, or in clothing during class time.

• EARBUDS must also be placed in the backpacks for the duration of class.

• COPYING work from other students is a violation of our school’s Honor Code. Copied work will result in a zero grade for “Both” parties involved.

• Consequences: 1st offense/phone call home, 2nd offense/detention, 3rd offense/discipline referral
