Important Reminder:  We have lots of runny noses and coughing. If your child has a constant runny nose/coughing/ just not feeling well, & will not be able to actively participate in their entire day at school, they need to stay home. Please practice keeping fingers out of nose/mouth & using a tissue to wipe their nose & follow up with hand washing.

End of Year Important Information : We will be scheduling meetings for each student and it is very important that you check your child’s folder daily for information regarding this meeting in addition to forms to be completed and returned to school. We will be contacting you in the next few weeks.

What we are doing: Our Literary unit for this month is “I Love you” & the nursery rhyme is “Roses are Red, Violets are Blue.” The story has colorful pictures with short phrases. along with rhyming throughout the reading. We will compare items of different sizes, ordering them from smallest to largest, use objects found in the story to practice positional concepts and put items together that have a common theme from the story and everyday items we see around us.

Our number for February is 7, so we will review numbers 1-6, (identifying, counting sets of objects/ participate in movements for numbers 1-6 , really focusing on counting 1 to 1 as we go through the movement and stopping when we get to the designated #). We will also enjoy learning new songs/rhymes related to Valentines.

Valentines Party: Mrs. Darnell and Ms Cink’s class will have our party on Feb. 14 during the school day. We will send home information on the specific item each child is asked to bring. If you are able to send in the assigned item, please let your child’s teacher know.
