Ms. Gould’s RTI Reading Class

Class Mission Statement:

"We come to RTI to improve in our reading and learn new things!"

1. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.

2. Be kind and encouraging to your classmates and sweet teacher.

3. Do your best!

Positive Reinforcement:

Stepping Up to Positive Behavior: I use a 5 color chart “Stepping Up” chart. Each student will begin class on green. Students move up or down the behavior chart based on their actions.

Purple/Blue/Green: Good Choices (2 tokens)

Yellow/Red: Friendly Reminder (No tokens)

Good behavior is rewarded as follows:

1. Gold Tokens; Prize Drawer

2. Verbal praise; POSITIVE calls home!

3. Paw Bucks

4. Smarties for smarties!

5. E-mails to administration or teacher

6. Miscellaneous surprises!!

Students will count their tokens 1x/month. If a student has 10 tokens, they can visit the Prize Bag.

LLI (Blue and Red Kit); anchor charts; wipe off boards; FASTBridge progress monitoring; magnetic letters; High Frequency Words; Quizlet (sight words); RAZ-Kids; i-Ready; Storyline Online; Epic; Newsela; Google Classroom; Classroom Library.

Communication with Parents:

1. Calls home.

2. Letters/progress monitoring data sent home.
