I am a native of the Greenville/Berea area. I graduated from Winthrop University with a BS degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Shortly after graduation I earned my Masters Degree in Reading and +30 hours in Special Education. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2001.

I am married to Drew Fricks and we have two children. Andrew is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University and Katie is a graduate of Clemson University. In my free time I enjoy spending time reading, going to the beach, and deer hunting.
