About the Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Duncan and I am so excited to be your teacher this year in second grade! I am looking forward to learning more about you, but first, let me tell you a little about me!
I was raised in Greenville, SC. I attended Pelham Road Elementary School as a first through fifth grader, so I know what a fun school it is! I attended Anderson University in Anderson, SC and earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. After finishing my degree, I decided to return to school to earn my Masters in Education, also from Anderson University. I then added on my Early Childhood Education certification. This is my 12th year teaching at PRES. My first year was teaching reading RTI to kindergarten and first grade students. The next 9 years have been in kindergarten and this will be my fourth year in second grade! In 2017, I was honored to be named Pelham Road’s “Teacher of the Year.”
To share a little more about my family, my husband and I have a daughter, Anna Lynn, who turns 4 in August! We love to spend as much time outdoors as possible. We also love to cook and host family and friends. When I can, I try to squeeze in time to relax with a good book!
