Many parents have questions about the Resource Classroom. I hope this helps to answer some of those questions.

Q: What is the purpose of resource?

A: To help students in their area(s) of weakness as determined by extensive assessment and psychological testing. Students are served in areas such as basic reading, reading comprehension, math, writing, listening comprehension, oral expression, social skills and task related skills.

Q: What is an Individualized Education Program (IEP)?

A: An IEP is a document creating a plan of action including goals and related objectives directly associated with each students area of weakness.

Q: How are the resource services implemented?

A: Services are provided through inclusion and/or pullout. We have tried to group students with similar needs and academic abilities together in order to provide the maximum amount of direct instruction.
