Meet the Teacher

Hello!

I am Miss Camfield, and I love teaching 5th grade at Paris Elementary. I was born and raised here in Greenville and attended Bob Jones University to get my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am in the last few months of finishing my master's degree that has a focus on elementary math.

I wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade, but my fifth grade teacher was the one who really inspired me to become a teacher. I learned that with hard work, I could accomplish more than I ever knew I could. I hope to do the same thing for my students!

Teaching 5th is always an adventure. I love learning, and I get to do plenty of learning as I teach! My goal is to prepare each student for the transition to middle school next year developing important life skills such as hard work, perseverance, problem solving, self discipline, kindness, and having a sense of humor.

Some of my favorite things!

I love trying local coffee shops with friends, and I like to spend my days outside trying any outdoor activity. In the summer you would probably find me at the lake, the beach, or reading a good book. I love Daisies, the color red, and anything and everything lavender...even lavender lattes! I love trying new places to eat, but I often find myself going to Chick-fil-A, Cracker Barrel, or Olive Garden. I love chocolate...what teacher doesn't?!? :) I do a lot of my shopping on Amazon or Target. I could spend all day in book stores or museums, but I lose track of time!

They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so here's some pictures of my favorite people, places, and things.

In the pictures below, you will see my family. I am the oldest, but I do have a twin brother, Lane, who lives in Raleigh, is married, and is a mechanical engineer. I love to brag about him! My sister, Rose, who looks like my twin is married and lives too far away in Utah. I love Utah, but I hate that it is so far! My other sister, Lexie, is in her last year of her undergrad to become a physical therapist, and my brother, Grant, is starting his second year of college and playing college golf. He's really good, but I can keep up with him during miniature golf!
